About the opportunity
ALTEN MÉXICO, as a global leader in engineering and technology consulting, is seeking a Technical Lead to drive excellence in software development projects within the banking sector. This role will be responsible for leading a team of 4 to 10 developers (frontend and fullstack), ensuring the architecture, quality, and timely delivery of technical solutions aligned with the international standards of the ALTEN group.
Main Activities
- Design and implement software architecture for critical systems, aligned with client requirements and global best practices.
- Coordinate with stakeholders (QA, DevOps, business) as the technical point of contact, ensuring continuous integration and deployment of solutions.
- Resolve complex technical issues and optimize the performance of production systems.
- Define and document technical standards (code conventions, testing, deployments) and architectural decisions (ADRs) for the team.
- Mentor junior and senior developers, promoting the adoption of technologies such as Node.js, TypeScript, Angular, SQL Server 2022, MongoDB, Prisma, RabbitMQ, and Redis.
- Contribute code to critical components, ensuring the scalability and security of solutions.
Technical Skills
- Experience: 7+ years in software development, with at least 2 years technically leading a team of 3 or more people. Must have been technically responsible for at least one end-to-end production system (design, build, and operation).
- Experience as a technical lead for production systems (design, build, and operation).
- Proficiency in system architecture (modular monoliths, microservices, relational/document databases).
- System Architecture and Design: ability to design, evaluate, and defend the architecture of a complete solution (frontend, backend, data, integrations), choose between alternatives (modular monolith vs. microservices, synchronous vs. asynchronous, relational vs. document), and communicate trade-offs to the business.
- Proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, Fastify, SQL Server 2022, MongoDB, Prisma (ORM), Swagger, RabbitMQ, Redis.
- Advanced knowledge of Angular, Tailwind CSS, NgRx.
- Experience with npm, Jest, Cypress.
- Quality, Security, and Operations: judgment to set code quality standards, incorporate security from design (authentication, authorization, OWASP), and ensure that what is built can be operated, monitored, and scaled.
- Technical Communication: document and convey architectural decisions in a way that the team and stakeholders understand (diagrams, decision records, contract-based API specifications).
- Soft Skills: technical communication with non-technical individuals, scope negotiation, and balancing technical debt with value delivery.
