We are seeking a Backend Node.js Developer to strengthen our technology team. The professional will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust and scalable backend services, actively contributing to the evolution of our technological architecture. We are looking for a professional with solid experience in Node.js, who demonstrates technical autonomy and collaboration skills in an agile and innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- High-Performance Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs (RESTful and GraphQL) and microservices in Node.js (TypeScript).
- Architecture and Design: Actively collaborate in the design of scalable systems, applying architectural patterns (Clean Architecture, DDD) and ensuring code maintainability.
- Data Optimization: Model and optimize queries in NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) and relational databases, focusing on performance and consistency.
- Security: Implement advanced security layers, including complex authentication flows (OAuth2, JWT) and protection against common vulnerabilities.
- Code Quality: Lead code reviews, ensuring the application of Clean Code and design patterns.
- Testing Culture: Ensure high test coverage (Unit, Integration, and E2E) and disseminate the culture of technical quality.
- Observability: Monitor applications in production, identify performance bottlenecks, and propose continuous improvements.
- Agile Collaboration: Work together with Product, Frontend, and DevOps to refine technical requirements and deliver value.
- Practical AI experience: Prior experience integrating APIs of LLMs in production environments.
- AI-First Mindset for Code: Ease and interest in working with autonomous development agents (like Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot) daily.
Essentials
- Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years working with backend development (focus on the Node.js ecosystem).
- Technical Mastery: Solid knowledge in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Frameworks: Advanced experience with NestJS (preferred) or Express.js.
- Databases: Practical experience with NoSQL databases and knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
- Infrastructure: Mastery of Docker, containerization, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Messaging: Knowledge of event-driven architectures (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar).
- Testing: Proficiency in testing tools like Jest or Vitest.
- Patterns: Mastery of Git (Gitflow), SOLID principles, and design patterns.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Experience with monitoring tools (New Relic, Datadog, or Prometheus).
- Knowledge of AI orchestration frameworks for the Node ecosystem (e.g., LangChain.js or LlamaIndex.ts).
- Practical knowledge of the RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) flow.
- Familiarity with Vector Databases (e.g., Pinecone, Qdrant, Weaviate, or pgvector).
- Understanding of advanced concepts like Function Calling and creation of AI Agent-based flows.
