Job Description – Camunda 8 Developer with Java Spring Boot
As a Camunda Developer, you will:
- Develop new components, maintain and evolve existing ones according to team priorities and product roadmap;
- Actively participate in ensuring software quality, best practices, and agile methodology within the team;
- Work on the definition and implementation of automated tests;
- Act as a coach for junior team members;
- Work in close collaboration with business sponsors to ensure the solution meets their needs;
- Take responsibility for software delivery, ensuring agreed-upon quality and scope;
- Contribute to and take ownership of technical design, ensuring all aspects of the system architecture are well-documented;
- Work together with partner technology teams, collaborating effectively;
- Technically refine epics and user stories with the team;
- Write documentation, prepare and deliver presentations on new features, components, or technologies;
- Support the team, the product, and the Camunda Chapter.
Minimum requirements
Experience & Education
- Previous experience in similar roles and technologies;
- Experience working with agile teams and tools like JIRA and Confluence;
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or substantial practical experience in advanced software delivery.
Mandatory Technical Requirements
- Hands-on experience in designing and implementing BPMN processes with Camunda 8;
- Deep knowledge of Java (11 or higher) and Spring Framework (version 4 or higher), with a solid understanding of Object-Oriented principles;
- Solid experience with Spring Boot (mandatory);
- Knowledge and experience with:
- Spring Cloud Config
- Spring Data JPA
- Spring MVC
- Experience in designing and building service-oriented or microservices architectures;
- Discipline and experience with automated testing (JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, among others);
- Solid experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools (CI/CD);
- Agile methodologies (SCRUM) and software lifecycle;
- Understanding of RESTful APIs principles;
- Spoken and written English at a minimum level B2.
