Your mission
- You will develop the long-term technology strategy for CUREOSITY and translate it into a clear technological roadmap for our products, platforms, and internal systems.
- You will consistently prioritize technology investments and development capacities based on customer value, strategic relevance, and sustainable business success.
- You will be responsible for the technological direction of our entire portfolio—from our VR therapy products and digital platforms to Data & Business Intelligence and Corporate IT.
- You will set the direction for key architecture and technology decisions, ensuring long-term scalability, quality, security, and maintainability.
- Together with the engineering teams, you will establish high standards for software architecture, development processes, testing, and the sustainable management of technical debt.
- As a MedTech company, you will further develop our technology while considering regulatory and safety-related requirements such as ISO 13485, MDR, data protection, and cybersecurity.
- Together with the Director of Product Development & Engineering, you will continue to develop our engineering organization, structures, and competencies in line with our ongoing growth.
- You will be responsible for the strategic development of our Corporate IT and, together with the team, ensure secure, scalable, and reliable operations.
- You will evaluate new technologies—especially in the areas of AI, XR, and platform technologies—regarding concrete customer value, efficiency potential, and sustainable competitive differentiation.
- As the technological voice of CUREOSITY, you will represent our technology vision to investors, partners, customers, and at relevant industry events.

Your profile
- You bring many years of experience in a senior technological role—for example, as CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Engineering, or in a comparable position of responsibility.
- You have built, led, and scaled technology organizations during growth phases and know how to combine technical excellence, speed, and scalability.
- You can evaluate modern software architectures, cloud infrastructures, APIs, and distributed systems from both a strategic and technical perspective.
- You have experience in developing and scaling marketable digital products and platforms; experience with regulated products or in the MedTech environment is a strong plus.
- You understand regulatory requirements, cybersecurity, and data protection not as downstream compliance topics, but as an integral part of a sustainable technology architecture.
- You can pragmatically evaluate new technologies—including AI—regarding customer value, product potential, efficiency, and long-term competitive advantage.
- You can communicate complex technological decisions in an understandable way and bring together different perspectives from Product, Engineering, Operations, and Business.
- You are confident in dealing with technology partners, service providers, and suppliers and possess strong negotiation skills.
- You communicate fluently in German and English and can convincingly represent our technology vision both internally and to investors, partners, and customers.
- A technical degree or educational background, or a comparable technological qualification, forms the foundation of your expertise.
- Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine, Android-based devices, as well as XR/VR technologies, is an advantage.

CUREosity is a multi-award-winning international MedTech company based in Düsseldorf that is changing rehabilitation through the development of innovative therapy concepts. With our goal of revolutionizing traditional rehabilitation, we develop VR-based therapy applications and games to help patients and therapists.
