Could you be the full-time Train Control Engineer in Mannheim we are looking for?
Take on a new challenge and apply your technical expertise in train control in a forward-looking environment. You will report to Thomas Kirchner and work with a motivated, dedicated, and diverse team of colleagues.

In your new role, you will play a key part in the development and implementation of innovative solutions in train control. In your day-to-day business, you will work closely with teams from various areas of the company, such as system engineers, project managers, and customer account managers. You will take on the technical leadership of project development teams and actively shape the future of mobility.
You will specifically focus on developing the train's functional requirements as well as managing train control systems, setting standards, and optimizing existing processes.
- We will look to you:
- To lead and manage work packages in the area of functional requirements and train control.
- To harmonize development activities with vehicle projects.
- For the technical leadership of a team of up to 10 engineers.
- To advise and support customers and suppliers on software-related issues.
- To monitor, control, and consolidate engineering work packages, including risk analysis and ensuring project goals regarding quality, cost, and timelines.
- To define interfaces between subsystems in collaboration with system engineers.
- To support industrial and manufacturing areas during the assembly of the first train as well as during verification and authorization activities.
All about you
Passion and attitude are more important to us than experience. Therefore, we do not expect you to bring every single skill. Instead, we have listed a few that we believe will help you succeed and grow in this role:
- A technical degree or comparable qualification as well as a passion for innovative mobility solutions.
- Experience in leading work packages and development teams.
- Business-fluent German and English skills to communicate effectively with international teams and customers.
- Knowledge in the field of control and system engineering as well as normative foundations, ideally in the field of rail vehicles.
