MAIN ACTIVITIES
Performs activities that cover the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to supporting the final deployment of functionalities developed by them, consistent with the agile development process paradigm.
- Be part of the development team, taking on work items for development each Sprint;
- Carry out activities inherent to development, such as analysis and design, programming, testing, requirements;
- Manage your own work, promptly signaling to the team any delays or other impediments;
- Guide and support the developers of the software project development team;
- Code and integrate software components according to technical specifications, using software development tools, programming languages, and libraries defined for the project;
- Identify, build, and perform tests on developed components to ensure quality;
- Perform evolutionary or corrective maintenance of software components;
- Create technical documentation according to the requirements of the contract under which you are working;
- Integrate the produced components with others built by other team members, using the integration tool defined for the project;
- Set up and configure the local development environment according to the projects' requirements and needs;
- Provide support to the IT team and client users when requested, regarding the characteristics and specificities of the developed software components, modules, and packages;
- Deliver and execute integration tests in the client's environment to ensure the full functionality of the software and its components;
- Monitor homologation and deployment of the software in the client's environments according to the contract;
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to the client about the developed software, thus ensuring the system's proper functioning.
Requirements
High school diploma.
Knowledge in Enterprise COBOL 4.0 or higher; DB2, SQL, CICS execution plan analysis (maps, transactions, VSAM); JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF; Tools: - IBM: z/OS, RDz (or IDz), DB2, MainView; - Compuware: Xpediter, Abend-AID, File-AID; - BMC: Control-M; - Eccox: QC-COBOL, QC-DB2; - CA : CA GEN, CA SCM; Configuration management (Endevor or similar); Versioning practices, code review, and technical documentation; Unit and integration testing principles.
Experience desired: 03 years in development and maintenance of systems in an IBM z/OS mainframe environment with a focus on COBOL, DB2, and CICS.
