About the opportunity
Grupo Data is looking for a Java Developer to join a dynamic team responsible for building and maintaining the central BackOffice platform, which supports critical operations in the financial sector including ticket matching, asset custody and settlement, cash management, allocation, and trade execution.
The platform is developed primarily in Java and hosted on the AWS cloud, with a strong focus on operational efficiency, scalability, and the integration of new financial products.

Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize high-performance Java components;
- Implement and integrate event-driven services (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ);
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evolve the BackOffice platform;
- Design scalable solutions in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS);
- Work with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL);
- Support the architecture and deployment of services on the AWS cloud;
- Ensure code quality, best practices, and test automation.
Technical Requirements
- Solid experience in Java 8+;
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ);
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL);
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS;
- Experience with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, ECS);
Language: Advanced English (required)
- Preferred: experience in the financial / capital markets segment.
