Job Description
Are digital processes, technical solutions, and close collaboration with business departments your passion? In this position, you will be responsible for the further development of our PLM system and will shape modern digital processes along the product lifecycle together with engineering, production planning, sales, and service. You will combine process understanding, application support, and technical development into practical solutions that provide real added value.
- Support, administration, and continuous further development of our PLM system (CONTACT Elements) as well as other business applications
- Analysis, optimization, and digitalization of processes in the areas of engineering, bill of materials management, change management, document management, and service
- Development and customization of workflows, extensions, and interfaces using Python as well as maintenance and further development of existing applications
- Support and further development of integrations between PLM, ERP system (PSIpenta), Salesforce, and Innosoft Service Management
- Collection, evaluation, and implementation of requirements from business departments in close cooperation with key users and process owners
- Coordination of software vendors and external service providers for support cases, updates, and further developments
- Planning, execution, and monitoring of tests, releases, training, and system implementations
- Support in expanding automation as well as in the introduction of innovative digital solutions and AI-supported applications
Qualifications
- Successfully completed degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with an IT focus, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in the support, further development, or implementation of PLM, ERP, or comparable business applications
- Sound knowledge of engineering processes such as bill of materials, document, and change management
- Practical experience in Python as well as knowledge of SQL, REST-APIs, and version control (Git)
- Strong process understanding and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Structured, independent working style and high consulting competence
- Very good German language skills as well as good English language skills
- Ideally, experience with CONTACT Elements, Salesforce, or service management solutions
