are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Developer 3) – API Platform who is a strong problem solver and quick learner to join our API Ecosystem team
- The role involves:Design and build scalable backend services and APIs, contributing to API gateway capabilities and full-stack development
Minimum requirements
- Proficiency in Java (8–21) or Python, along with JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with DevOps practices using GitHub/GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudFormation, Route53 and CloudWatch
- Strong fundamentals in software engineering, RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
- Deep understanding of the API lifecycle including design, versioning, security, throttling, and analytics
- Strong knowledge of authentication and authorization (OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, API key management)
- Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools such as OpenTelemetry (OTEL) or Splunk
- Knowledge of load balancing, caching strategies, high availability, and disaster recovery design
- Proficiency with RDBMS and NoSQL databases
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product, Architecture, DevOps, Security) in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience or exposure to API management platforms (Apigee OPDK, Apigee X/Hybrid preferred), OpenAPI/Swagger, GraphQL
