The Role
We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer who wants to grow fast in a small team with real impact. The role has two complementary sides: you will be the first line of internal support (L1) —supporting the Mango team and operations, without direct external client interaction— and at the same time, you will contribute to roadmap projects with the team's guidance.
We are not looking for someone to start from scratch: you have already worked as a developer and know what it's like to deliver code in a professional environment. What You Will Do
- Be the L1 internal support: receive incident reports and questions raised by the team and operations areas. Reproduce the problem, identify the cause, resolve what is within your reach, and properly escalate what is not, with clear context.
- Document frequent issues and their solutions so the team can resolve them faster next time.
- Contribute to roadmap projects: take on tasks within technically defined initiatives —from improvements to the current product to new modules— accompanied by more senior developers.
- Develop full-stack functionalities gradually: from an API endpoint to a change in the interface.
- Fix bugs and write the regression test that would have prevented it.
- Participate in code reviews —receiving feedback and, over time, giving it.
- Use AI code agents and assistants as a natural part of your development workflow from the beginning.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous work experience as a developer (ideally ~1-2 years). We are not looking for recent graduates without prior work experience: we need you to have already delivered software in a real environment.
- Solid fundamentals: programming, HTTP, relational databases, Git.
- Experience with frontend and backend —we don't require mastery, but you should be able to take a simple feature from start to finish without being guided at every step.
- Familiarity with our stack or a similar one: Laravel, Next.js, React, MySQL, TypeScript. You don't need to know them all; you do need to learn quickly.
- You already use AI code agents and assistants for development. Not as a novelty, but as part of your workflow.
- Support attitude: patience, willingness to help the team, and the calmness to understand a problem before jumping to a solution.
- Eagerness to learn: try to solve it, search before asking, and when you ask, come with context. Nobody here knows everything from the start, but we do expect curiosity and commitment.
- Good communication: explain what you are doing, ask for help when you need it, and say "this doesn't make sense to me" when something is unclear.
