About the opportunity
FOR A NEW SOCIAL COOPERATION: BECOME PART OF PROJECTTOGETHER
ProjectTogether builds broad alliances and shapes the future
Today's problems cannot be solved with yesterday's methods. That is why ProjectTogether brings people from society, politics, and business together to take action. We call this Collective Action. We are pragmatic idealists: we think about the new and work in the now.
ProjectTogether is a non-profit organization. We are convinced: things can be better. Germany can solve the problems of our time better. To do this, we need an update to our social operating system. We want to contribute to this.
We bundle forces for major common goals
In our missions, we show how a different way of working together leads to better results: from individual solutions to alliances, from fragmentation to coordination, from distrust to trust, and from entitlement to co-creation.
This is how we bring hundreds of people from different areas of society together: from mayors to activists, from founders to state secretaries, from family entrepreneurs to regional shapers. We build broad alliances that develop and implement solutions in new ways.
We are already using AI in our daily work, but we want to develop further and create AI-First solutions. For this, we are looking for support and look forward to growing our team.
Responsibilities and Tasks
You will implement AI and digital solutions for the common good - both internally at ProjectTogether and within the framework of our missions. Your focus will be on DevOps and the operation of our applications and automations, as well as new AI-native solutions. You will work directly with colleagues from across the organization and on an equal footing with the IT Lead.
- You will help identify where AI can make a real difference in our missions and for the common good
- Together with the teams, you will identify recurring tasks and technical problems, both internally and in collaboration with external stakeholders in our missions. You will prioritize solutions based on benefit, effort, and ongoing maintenance requirements.
- You will develop and implement automations, API integrations, AI applications, and internal web applications. In doing so, you will pragmatically decide when no-code or low-code tools are sufficient and when custom code makes sense.
- You will take on technical responsibility from the initial idea through prototyping and introduction to production. You will further develop existing solutions and ensure they remain maintainable.
- You will set up and further develop deployment processes and the necessary infrastructure. With version control, automated tests, CI/CD, and traceable configuration, you will make changes reproducible and reversible if necessary.
- You will ensure reliable operation through monitoring, logging, regular updates, and tested backups. In the event of malfunctions, you will find the cause, restore operation, and improve the solution so that errors do not recur.
- You will implement security measures in operations, for example, appropriate access rights, secure handling of credentials, and the protection of servers and interfaces. You will consider data protection and security during the planning phase.
- You will empower colleagues to use new tools independently and ensure that knowledge and access remain available within the team. You will also introduce more complex processes into an organization of around 60 people: you will explain, support, and ensure that new systems are truly adopted in everyday life.
- Together with our IT Lead, you will make architectural decisions and support the selection and further development of our digital workplace tools. Together, you will develop practical standards for AI usage, automation, operations, and IT security.
Your Profile
We are looking for an experienced person who enjoys developing and taking responsibility for ongoing operations. You bring a focus on DevOps and are eager to work as a tech generalist close to the problems of our teams.
- You are eager to apply AI for the common good
- You quickly familiarize yourself with new technologies and follow the development of AI tools. You use AI in development, testing, and documentation and verify the results before they are used in production.
- You have several years of practical experience in DevOps, in operating applications, or as a Full-Stack developer with operational responsibility.
- You have built, introduced, and maintained production systems yourself over a longer period. What you have implemented is more important to us than a specific degree.
- You can develop or extend applications and API integrations yourself.
- You work confidently with Linux, containers, Git, and CI/CD.
- You have practical experience with monitoring, logging, backups, and recovery. You investigate malfunctions systematically and can assess which measures are necessary for the reliability of a system.
- You understand the basics of networks, DNS, TLS, and access rights and can apply them in operations. You handle credentials and sensitive data with care.
- You have worked with contact or CRM data from multiple sources and know that the real work lies not only in the data model but in duplicates, changing roles, systems that must remain synchronized, and definitions that teams must first agree upon.
- You think of systems from the perspective of the people who use them. The best solutions run invisibly in the background and do not create extra work for anyone.
- You clarify requirements with non-technical colleagues, explain technical decisions in an understandable way, and derive actionable next steps from unclear problems.
