Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will actively shape the digital transformation of manufacturing in the aerospace environment. You will work on projects involving the introduction and further development of central production systems such as 3DX, MES (Apriso), and SAP S/4HANA. Your tasks will be assigned on a project basis and according to your individual strengths, ensuring you are deployed where you can deliver the greatest added value.

What Activities Await You
3DX – Methods & Application
- Introduction and further development of 3DX methods (e.g., 3D-SOI) as well as definition of data objects and maturity levels.
- Creation of guidelines, standards, and best practices.
- Validation of production-related use cases along the value stream.
Production Data & Work Preparation
- Analysis and cleansing of work plans and production orders for use in 3DX, MES, and SAP S/4HANA.
- Design and optimization of production-relevant processes such as planning, release, and change management.
- Support of sequencing and line balancing in collaboration with production planning and methods departments.
MES (Apriso) – Shopfloor Enablement
- Parameterization of production-critical MES logic and support of electronic order processing.
- Planning and execution of User Acceptance Tests (UAT) and Non-Regression Tests (NRT), including defect triage and acceptance.
- Functional support of production-related rollouts and tests.
SAP S/4HANA – Integration & Master Data Flow
- Participation in end-to-end processes between SAP (PP/ME/DM), MES, and 3DX.
- Support in migration and cutover scenarios.
- Analysis and optimization of production-relevant master data flows.
Way of Working
You work with focus and not on all streams simultaneously. Work packages are defined on a project basis, in a structured manner, and according to your skills – for example, in the areas of 3DX, MES, or SAP S/4HANA. Each work package is clearly defined and has verifiable results, for example:
- Methodology documents
- Data quality analyses
- UAT protocols
- Shopfloor checklists
Qualifications
Who We Are Looking For
- Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering/Production Technology or a technician's qualification with several years of experience in work preparation or a comparable field.
- Strong affinity for systems (PLM/MES/ERP) and a structured, methodical approach to work.
- Experience in at least one of the following areas: 3DX, MES (Apriso), or SAP PP/ME/DM.
- Very good German and English language skills. French language skills are an advantage, but not a requirement.
- Confident, independent way of working in complex stakeholder environments.
Relevant Prior Experience That Strengthens Your Role
- 3DX-/DDMS methodology expertise (ideally including 3D-SOI) as well as knowledge of CATIA V5 and PDM systems.
- Experience with SAP production processes and production-related data models.
- Background in the aerospace/Airbus environment, particularly in ramp-up, transformation, or shopfloor rollout projects.
