Performance Engineer (all genders) - Full-time & Part-time

The Quality Engineering department supports our clients in load and performance testing by developing, executing, and analyzing intelligent test scenarios to improve and optimize critical customer infrastructure.

The position is possible in both full-time and part-time.

In your role as a Performance Engineer, your primary focus will be supporting our clients in implementing performance-critical IT systems – end-to-end and Full-Stack.

You will analyze complex application architectures regarding their performance and load characteristics and drive the adoption of high-performance architecture, design, and code patterns.

You will work on the conception and planning of load and performance tests with our clients by gathering requirements and defining tests based on them.

You will implement innovative test solutions, from developer tests to classic end-to-end load & performance tests.

You are also comfortable in agile environments and can identify performance issues early and efficiently.

Using appropriate tools, you will implement intelligent test infrastructure and monitoring solutions to ensure contractually agreed availability and performance SLAs.

You will find diverse application areas such as Automotive, Aerospace, Mobile, Insurance, Medical, Banking, Energy, etc., interesting and challenging.

With your high level of commitment, you also have the necessary flexibility and mobility for client assignments nationwide.

You have very good IT knowledge based on a technical or scientific degree or a comparable qualification.

You speak fluent German (min. C1 level) and have good English skills.

Required Skills

You are familiar with load and performance testing tools and are proficient in enterprise tools such as OpenText LoadRunner Professional, OpenText LoadRunner Enterprise, Tricentis NeoLoad, as well as common open-source tools like Apache JMeter and Gatling.

Performance monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or New Relic are familiar to you, and you have experience with open-source tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, and Kibana.

Experience

You have more than three years of professional experience in a comparable position in Performance Engineering.

Desired Skills

You can demonstrate experience with system architectures (application servers, databases, protocols, etc.) and have programming experience in development projects (ideally with C# or Java).

You possess knowledge of scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, etc.).
