QA Automation
Goal Orientation
Your Mission With Us
What this role is not
This is not purely a manual QA execution role, nor a position focused solely on executing predefined test cases.
We are looking for a senior profile who can develop an automation strategy, understand technical systems, and actively improve the quality of our entire delivery process.
Manual testing remains important but should complement strong test automation, technical defect analysis, and CI/CD-based quality assurance.
Goal Orientation
Why this role is exciting
Senior QA Automation Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer (m/f/d) to significantly drive the quality of our AI infrastructure platform. We develop scheduler and simulator products that work directly with our customers' data center infrastructure for GPUs, enabling our customers to operate and simulate usage in predominantly heterogeneous environments.
This role requires a solid understanding of test automation, good practical judgment for manual testing, understanding of Kubernetes and infrastructure, and experience with CI/CD. You will help define how we test the behavior of our scheduler and simulator products, which tests to automate, and how quality gates become an integral part of our daily development and release processes.
Your Responsibilities
- Conception, development, and maintenance of automated tests for schedulers, simulators, APIs, Backend services, Frontend workflows, integrations, and system and end-to-end scenarios.
- Development of reliable regression, smoke, integration, end-to-end, and release test suites that run in CI/CD pipelines and validate Kubernetes-based deployments.
- Testing of AI infrastructure workflows for GPU data centers, heterogeneous resource distribution, configuration changes, failure scenarios, monitoring signals, and rollback behavior.
- Performing manual exploratory, functional, and regression testing when automation is not yet in place or when experienced judgment is required for complex infrastructure behavior.
- Collaboration with engineers, product managers, and platform teams to define test strategies, quality criteria, release readiness, reproducible simulation scenarios, and risk areas in customer environments.
- Analysis of test results and investigation of failures; distinguishing between product defects and issues in the environment, infrastructure, data, or tests, and driving root cause analysis and bug fixing.
- Improvement of CI/CD quality gates, test reporting, handling of flaky tests, test data management, environment validation, and automated checks for Kubernetes deployments.
- Contribution to the architecture of test frameworks, selection of appropriate tools, Python coding standards, and sustainable automation practices.
- Clear documentation of test plans, risks, test coverage gaps, simulation assumptions, infrastructure dependencies, and release recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support and mentoring of engineers and QA colleagues in best practices for test automation, testability, infrastructure-aware QA, and shared quality responsibility.
What You Bring
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in QA, SDET, or test automation, ideally in infrastructure, platforms, cloud, developer tools, distributed systems, or deep tech products.
- Extensive hands-on experience in test automation, particularly with Java or Python/Pytest; ability to develop clean, maintainable test code and test tools.
- Experience building automated tests for APIs, services, integrations, UI workflows, and end-to-end and system-level scenarios.
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes, containers, Linux environments, deployments, configurations, logs, metrics, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to test complex infrastructure products whose behavior depends on resource distribution, workload characteristics, environment configuration, and interactions of distributed systems.
- Experience with manual exploratory testing, defect isolation, risk-based release decisions, and investigating non-obvious defects in technical systems.
- Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar solutions.
- Experience with defect analysis using logs, metrics, traces, screenshots, test artifacts, Kubernetes events, container logs, and developer tools.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate closely with Backend, platform, infrastructure, and product teams to improve testability and prevent defects early.
- Senior-level sense of responsibility: You can define priorities, question assumptions, improve processes, and deliver results independently without needing detailed instructions.
Nice to Have
- Experience in testing AI infrastructure, GPU platforms, schedulers, simulators, cloud platforms, infrastructure products, developer tools, data platforms, or complex distributed systems.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, observability tools, Linux, basic networking knowledge, or platform engineering workflows.
- Experience testing heterogeneous environments with different GPU types, node configurations, workloads, tenants, quotas, or capacity constraints.
- Experience with performance, load, scalability, reliability, contract, security, or chaos testing.
- Experience in independently building test frameworks, internal QA tools, synthetic workload generators, simulators, or test data pipelines.
- Experience with test management, reporting, quality analytics, and release dashboards.
- Experience enabling teams towards stronger quality ownership, shift-left testing, and infrastructure-aware QA practices.
