Who are we looking for? QA Engineer (3-5 years), Hybrid Lisbon
Main tasks to develop
- Analyze functional and technical requirements, identifying test scenarios, risks, and acceptance criteria.
- Design, plan, and execute functional, integration, and APIs tests, ensuring adequate coverage of business requirements.
- Investigate defects by analyzing data, SQL queries, application logs, and system integrations, contributing to the identification of the root cause of problems (Root Cause Analysis).
- Execute, validate, and support the maintenance of existing automated tests, in collaboration with development and automation teams.
- Manage the defect lifecycle, including analysis, logging, reporting, retesting, and validation of fixes in certification and production environments.
Mandatory Skills and Knowledge
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA) and software testing, with a strong focus on functional, integration, and APIs testing.
- Good knowledge of SQL, with the ability to analyze data, application logs, and perform technical diagnostics (troubleshooting).
- Fluent English, both spoken and written.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge
- Experience in APIs testing with tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or equivalents.
- Knowledge of test and defect management tools, such as Jira, Xray, HP Service Manager, or equivalents.
- Basic knowledge of test automation and the ability to understand and maintain existing automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Knowledge of programming languages, such as Java or similar.
- Experience in analyzing XML/JSON messages, REST services, and system integrations.
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new Quality Assurance tools, technologies, and processes.
Work arrangement
Hybrid (3x per week in the Lisbon office).
