We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer – Integration and Performance Testing to plan, design, and execute end-to-end integration tests and performance tests for a large-scale Automation Modernization program in the Energy sector. The role will be responsible for validating integrations between multiple business applications, APIs, microservices, databases, messaging platforms, and external systems. The Test Engineer will also be responsible for performance, load, stress, and scalability testing to ensure the solution meets defined performance and reliability requirements. The selected candidate will work closely with the Test Lead, Solution Architects, Integration Developers, Application Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and external vendors to ensure that end-to-end business processes and system integrations are functionally correct, reliable, scalable, and performant.
Project Overview
The Automation Modernization program aims to modernize the organization's ecosystem in customer, pricing, forecasting, billing, integration, and analytics areas through modern applications, API-first integrations, cloud-native services, and automated business processes. Testing will cover end-to-end business processes involving multiple platforms, including Customer Portal, CRM, Billing, Pricing, Forecasting, Payment Gateways, Utilities, Microsoft Fabric, databases, and other SaaS and enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies, plans, scenarios, and test cases for Integration Testing and Performance Testing.
- Perform end-to-end integration testing between applications, APIs, microservices, databases, messaging platforms, and external systems.
- Validate REST APIs, request/response payloads, business rules, data transformations, error handling, and interfaces between systems.
- Validate synchronous and asynchronous integrations, including APIs, events, queues, and message-based integrations.
- Perform database validations using SQL to verify data integrity, reconciliation, transformations, and end-to-end data flows.
- Design and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, scalability, and volume testing for APIs and enterprise applications.
- Develop performance test scripts that realistically simulate business transactions, workloads, transaction volumes, and concurrent users.
- Monitor and analyze response times, throughput, concurrency, resource utilization, error rates, and other performance metrics.
- Identify performance bottlenecks in applications, integrations, databases, and infrastructure, and collaborate with development and architecture teams to resolve these issues.
- Create test data and coordinate environment and test data dependencies across integrated systems.
- Log, track, analyze, and retest defects until resolution.
- Produce test execution reports, defect metrics, performance reports, and test completion summaries.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Advanced/fluent English - mandatory - (will be assessed in the interview)
- More than 6 years of experience in software testing and Quality Engineering.
- Solid experience in System Integration Testing (SIT) and end-to-end testing of enterprise applications.
- Solid experience in REST APIs, microservices, and system integration testing.
- Hands-on experience with APIs testing tools, such as Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured, or equivalents.
- Solid experience with performance testing tools, such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or equivalents.
- Experience in analyzing application performance, response times, throughput, concurrency, and system resource utilization.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience validating application and integration data in Oracle databases.
- Good understanding of APIs, microservices, messaging, databases, and distributed application architectures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience testing Java Spring Boot microservices and Angular-based applications.
- Experience testing integrations implemented using Azure Integration Services, including API Management, Service Bus, and event-driven integrations.
- Experience testing high-volume, distributed, and cloud-native enterprise applications.
- Experience in the Energy & Utilities or Retail Energy sectors.
- Knowledge of customer systems, billing, pricing, forecasting, payments, and the energy market.
