Your Contribution
- You will develop and maintain the ifap Praxiscenter, our Delphi-based product for pharmacies and prescribers, in a mixed stack of modern and legacy Delphi, interacting with the ABDA/IFA drug database and KBV-BMP standards.
- You will design and implement changes that measurably improve performance, stability, and integration with modern services (.NET, Express.js, MSVC components).
- You will work closely with the ifap team and the AI Fullstack team to cleanly connect Delphi components with modern web and data services and establish sustainable integration paths.
- You will specifically use Claude Code and AI agents to accelerate refactoring, analysis, and documentation of the existing Delphi codebase and provide structured feedback of gained insights to the team.
- You will actively shape the modernization roadmap of the Praxiscenter, finding the right balance between reliable delivery and gradual platform evolution.
Minimum requirements
What You Bring
- Several years of experience in Delphi development, ideally in business-critical, long-established application systems with high demands on availability and data quality.
- Completed university degree (preferably Master's) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical field with very good results.
- Solid knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and integration patterns, including experience with legacy modernization; proficient use of build, deployment, and version control tools; demonstrably effective use of AI in software engineering, ideally including Claude Code (Agents, Skills, Workflows), AI pipelines, and context engineering.
- Fluent German and fluent English, both written and spoken, enabling you to operate confidently with German-speaking departments as well as in international teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, pragmatic and self-directed work, high proactivity, innovative spirit, and an entrepreneurial mindset with clear alignment to our healthcare purpose and the responsibility for patient safety.
