What are we looking for?
Job Objective
Develop and evolve critical solutions in Mainframe environments, participating in new developments and evolutionary projects for transactional systems, ensuring stability, technical quality, and operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, and build Batch and Online programs using COBOL and CICS.
- Develop and optimize high-criticality Mainframe components.
- Manage DB2 structures and VSAM files.
- Create and modify JCL for massive processes.
- Use TSO/ISPF and manage versions with Changeman or Endeavor.
- Execute unit tests and validate developments.
- Develop Host solutions independently, with autonomy in assigned technical activities.
- Apply high-availability criteria in transactional flows.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and blockers.
Role Challenges
- Join new high-criticality Mainframe developments.
- Evolve transactional systems without compromising stability.
- Resolve technical challenges in specialized legacy technologies.
- Maintain traceability and quality in high-demand environments.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of solid experience in Mainframe environments.
- Experience in the banking sector and transactional flows.
- Experience in the development and maintenance of Batch and Online processes.
Technology
- COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, and TSO/ISPF.
- Changeman or Endeavor.
- Mainframe and Batch processes.
- Knowledge of high availability.
Key Competencies (REQUIRED)
- Clear and effective communication.
- Ability to adapt quickly.
- Tolerance for frustration.
- Ability to work under pressure with a focus on quality.
- Basic-Intermediate English (A2/B1) for documentation and technical tools.
