About the opportunity
Senior QA Automation Engineer + English
We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer who will be responsible for the quality of a modern Full Stack platform for loan origination. This is not a traditional QA role; you will be part of the development team from the beginning (Shift Left), identifying issues early and building the testing infrastructure that allows for confident software delivery. From day one, you will have direct responsibility for a high-visibility project.
Responsibilities
- Lead the comprehensive QA strategy for the entire Full Stack platform (Front-End with Next.js, Backend with C#/.NET, and integrations).
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for functional, regression, integration, and End-to-End (E2E) scenarios.
- Define and enforce Quality Gates within the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring no release is deployed without meeting established quality standards.
- Lead test coverage for critical third-party integrations, including Credit Bureaus (Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion), Dealer Systems (DealerTrack and RouteOne), and fraud prevention and verification providers.
- Validate REST APIs contracts, Retry Logic, Idempotency, and Edge Case handling.
- Test DEFI Solutions' loan origination workflows, including Scorecards, Rules, Decision Flows, and Operational Data.
- Actively participate in Sprint Planning, Story Grooming, and Design Reviews to identify risks and quality issues before development begins.
- Collaborate with the Tech Lead to align QA practices with overall engineering standards.
- Act as the voice of quality within the team, representing the end-user perspective and ensuring platform integrity.
- Serve as a bridge between the Nearshore team and stakeholders in the United States, ensuring smooth communication in English.
- Design and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.
- Utilize AI-Assisted Testing tools to increase test coverage and reduce manual effort.
- Manage test environments, Test Data Management, and QA-related documentation.
Minimum requirements
Technical Knowledge
- 5+ years of experience in QA
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in test automation.
- Experience with NUnit.
- Experience with Playwright.
- Experience with Cypress.
- Experience with Selenium.
- Experience performing End-to-End (E2E) testing.
- Experience in Integration Testing.
- Experience with REST APIs.
- Experience with CI/CD.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies.
- Experience using GitHub Copilot.
- Experience using Claude.
- Advanced English B2 or C1 (ESSENTIAL)

Location: 100% Remote – Mexico.
Employment Type: Permanent with all legal benefits
Work Schedule: Full Time.
Hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Mexico time).
Payment: Monthly in Mexican pesos.
