RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, development, and maintenance of software components for BICO products with end-to-end responsibility – from architecture to production solution
- Productive use of AI-powered development as an integral part of our daily work: targeted control of AI coding assistants, critical review of results, and integration into a clean, maintainable architecture
- Actively shaping how we establish and further develop AI-powered development approaches within the team
- Execution of prototypes and feasibility studies for new product and analysis workflows
- Close collaboration in interdisciplinary teams of software, hardware, optics, and application specialists
- Ensuring software quality through automated tests, code reviews, and best practices
- Mentoring junior engineers and actively promoting knowledge exchange within the team
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar – or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience (typically 5+ years) with profound expertise in C#/.NET
- Openness to AI-powered development and the willingness to actively shape this way of working
- Experience with DevOps practices, tools, and modern development processes
- Very good English skills; German language skills are an advantage
- Practical experience with AI-powered development (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude) and the ability to critically evaluate and productively use AI-generated code is an advantage
- Experience with image processing and image analysis, application and integration of AI-based analysis is an advantage
- Experience with web frontends (React or comparable frameworks) is an advantage
- Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) or other stacks like Python or C++ is an advantage
