As a Software Engineer (w/m/d) for the quality assurance of our core applications, you ensure that our business-critical applications become a little better every day – with well-thought-out methods, powerful tools, and a clear focus on the essentials. From static code analysis and code reviews to the use of AI, you drive impulses that sustainably advance quality and efficiency.
Your contribution to the TEAM
- Contribution to the sustainable improvement of software quality and maintainability of our business-critical Cobol core applications
- Establishment and further development of methods, tools, and standards for systematic quality assurance
- Further development of static code analyses, code reviews, and other metrics for targeted quality improvement
- Evaluation, conception, and introduction of AI-supported processes for the analysis, evaluation, and further development of large Cobol codebases
- Increasing the efficiency of software development through automation, standardization, and tool integration
- Advising experienced development teams on quality-related issues and fostering a shared understanding of quality
- Participation in the further development of cross-application development processes
What we're looking for
- Experience in the development and maintenance of complex Java applications
- Openness to extensive Cobol applications in business-critical systems
- Knowledge of common software quality assurance methods (e.g., reviews, static analysis, quality metrics)
- Interest in or experience with the use of AI technologies in software development
- Analytical thinking, solution-oriented approach, and strong communication skills
- Independent, structured way of working and a strong sense of quality
- Enjoyment of learning and using new technologies
