Your Mission & Challenges
Together, we are taking the next step into a new era of robotics. You will ensure that our robot arm software is reliable, safe, and ready for real-world deployment – from operator workflows and application logic to actual motion execution.
Robot Arm & System Testing
- You will test all functions of the robot system – from the GUI and interfaces to motion commands, PLC communication, and safety functions.
- You will support release and regression testing across various software versions, including localization and tests in different environments.
- You will work closely with Robotics, Firmware, Application, and Functional Safety teams to validate software, safety-relevant behavior, and overall stability.
Test Automation & Framework
- You will develop and implement detailed Gherkin test cases and step definitions using Cucumber, Selenium, and Java for GUI and API tests.
- You will build and maintain automated regression, smoke, and release test suites, integrated into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab).
- You will further develop the test framework (reusable steps, page objects, test data management, reporting).
- You will perform automated and manual tests and analyze results (bugs, regressions, localization issues, performance issues).
- You will document, track, and communicate issues clearly, ensuring traceability between requirements and tests.
- You will create and maintain test documentation and user guides.
- You will actively identify potential improvements in testing, coverage, and efficiency.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in test automation, system testing, validation, or verification of complex systems (ideally robotics or industrial automation).
- Good understanding of robot arms – fundamentals of kinematics, joint vs. Cartesian movements, reference systems, safety limits, and operator software.
- Very good knowledge of Java, ideally also Python or C++.
- Experience with Maven, Selenium, Cucumber (BDD), API testing, and Git.
- Experience with CI/CD, test reporting, and agile, cross-functional teams.
- Fluent English skills.
