Your Mission
- You set technical priorities within your team and help coordinate complex engineering work so that API and integration-related initiatives move forward clearly and effectively.
- You shape engineering decisions at the squad level and contribute to the technical strategy—with a strong focus on scalable integrations, reliable interfaces, and sustainable platform capabilities.
- You write high-quality, secure, and performant code and strengthen engineering best practices within the team—especially where robustness, backward compatibility, and maintainability are critical.
- You break down complex requirements into pragmatic technical solutions and help translate product and business needs into reusable, cleanly structured engineering capabilities.
- You drive process improvements, target technical debt, and strengthen the scalability, security, and reliability of systems that connect HERO Software with other tools, partners, and services.
- You act as a technical sparring partner and subject matter expert, support colleagues in their development, and participate in cross-squad initiatives that improve architectural consistency and developer experience.
Your Superpowers
- You bring strong Full-Stack engineering expertise and have high standards for clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- You possess strong judgment in technical decision-making and strike the right balance between speed, quality, security, and long-term sustainability.
- You are comfortable with API-driven and integration-heavy challenges and understand the importance of reliability, clarity, and consistency in interface design.
- You communicate clearly, collaborate closely with others, and can explain complex technical topics in a way that creates shared alignment across engineering and product teams.
- You take responsibility beyond individual tasks, proactively identify potential for improvement, and help turn ambiguity into actionable solutions.
- You enjoy mentoring colleagues, sharing knowledge, and supporting other engineers in their development through thoughtful technical leadership.
- You think in systems, contribute an architectural perspective, and provide impetus for greater scalability, reliability, and technical excellence across teams.
- You speak German at at least a C1 level and are fluent in English.
