Job Description
As a Platform Engineer, you will work with current data and analytics technologies on R+V's AI platform, combining engineering methods and cloud architectures.
In a Scrum team, you will further develop our AI solution from specification through design to implementation, considering scalability and stability in the holistic sense of DevOps (You build it, you run it), and operate it.
- You will work intensively with CI/CD (GitLab), including builds, tests, security scans, deployments, and monitoring.
- You will define and implement proof of concepts and prototypes.
- Conception and implementation of individual solutions are also part of your responsibilities.
- Continuous development and scouting of technologies, methods, and tools, as well as active knowledge transfer, are a matter of course for you.
- You leverage the benefits of close collaboration with data scientists, data engineers, and business departments for successful solution finding.
- In operations and troubleshooting, you will use container systems like Docker and have experience in the network connection of cloud environments to corporate networks.
You want to take on these challenges, break new ground with the team, drive topics forward for R+V, and develop personally in the process.
Qualifications
- Successful degree in natural sciences, computer science, or a comparable qualification.
- Interest in familiarizing yourself with modern data and cloud technologies, especially in the environment of Azure Machine Learning, Public Cloud, Data Factory/Synapse Pipeline, and Data Ingestion (ETL/ELT).
- Experience in creating and debugging Docker images and in working with Terraform and Python.
- Experience in the network connection of cloud environments to corporate networks
- You bring strong communication skills, teamwork ability, and enjoyment in collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
- Fluent German language skills (min. level B2-C1).
- Knowledge of Azure infrastructures and services, e.g., VNets, Service and Private Endpoints, Identity Management, RBAC/ACL, and Azure Storage (especially Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2), is advantageous.
- Practical experience with coding agents (e.g., Claude Code or Codex) and a good understanding of modern AI-assisted coding and Vibe Engineering.
