WorkMotion
zollsoft GmbH
Test Automation Engineer
Introduction
Where you can contribute
You will take charge of the digital foundation of our testing landscape, independently developing, maintaining, and scaling our complex automation frameworks with modern tools.
You will look deep under the hood and not only automate the user interface but also ensure data integrity and performance through automated API-, interface, and database tests.
As the guardian of the pipelines, you will independently set up test environments and seamlessly integrate our automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines, including macOS runners for lightning-fast feedback to development.
With your smart scripts, you will become the guardian angel for everyday practice, reliably and performantly securing even the most complex end-to-end workflows.
You will work hand in hand with development and document found bugs so clearly, including impact assessments, that the dev team can act immediately and precisely.
You will tidy up our test systems, continuously improve them, actively combat flaky tests, and manage test data in a structured and forward-looking manner.
You will enjoy the freedom to work 100% from home from your favorite spot, so you don't have to live in Thuringia to get started with us in the team.
You are looking for a long-term home port and ideally contribute at least 32 hours per week, although there is generally nothing against a flexible part-time position.
Minimum requirements
What you should bring
You have a foundation of a completed technical degree or a comparable qualification and convince us primarily through your sound practical experience in quality assurance.
You bring good to very good programming skills in a language relevant to our ecosystem, such as Java, JavaScript, C++, Swift, Dart, or comparable languages.
You have already demonstrably proven that you can automate complex desktop or client-server systems and are familiar with the very special challenges of desktop automation.
Relational databases like PostgreSQL are not foreign words to you, but your daily tool to confidently validate test results deep in the Backend.
Modern software development is your world; you write clean, maintainable test code, think structurally in terms of risks, and are comfortable working with Git, tickets, and agile backlogs.
You communicate clearly and appreciatively at an excellent German level with at least C1, as German is our internal team language for the complex medical product context and documentation.
You can fully live out your great curiosity about the future and your interest in AI tools in testing or initial experience with systems like Codex, Claude Cowork, Gemini Spark, or OpenClaw with us.
A certification according to ISTQB in the area of Test Automation Engineering or Foundation Level would be the absolute icing on the cake for us, but it is not a rigid exclusion criterion, alongside your quick comprehension.
Why us?
We are an open and ambitious team of over 750 employees who truly live customer orientation and have fun at the same time. Even after more than 10 years, we still have a startup atmosphere that offers a variety of perks such as a tax-free shopping card, company bike leasing, and health courses (e.g., yoga, back training, and mental health) – both online and in the office – in addition to the legendary fruit basket.
Depending on the area of application (and that's at least 75% of all company areas), we offer all our colleagues flexible working hours and home office.
