Your Contribution
- You will take end-to-end responsibility for selected modules of M1 PRO, our long-established, Uniface-based practice information system, delivering high-quality changes that thousands of practices rely on daily.
- You will modernize and refactor existing Uniface codebases, increasing maintainability and, together with the M1 PRO team, stabilizing critical workflows in outpatient practice.
- You will work closely with the architecture and AI fullstack teams, integrating Uniface modules with modern Java/Quarkus services and AI-driven workflows, and connecting M1 PRO with Gematik TI, ePA, as well as the GDT/LDT/xDT ecosystem.
- You will strategically use Claude Code and AI Agents to significantly accelerate the analysis, refactoring, and documentation of existing Uniface code and feed the insights gained back to the team.
- You will actively shape the long-term evolution strategy of M1 PRO, finding the balance between reliable delivery and gradual modernization of the platform.
What You Bring
- Several years of experience at a senior level in Uniface development, ideally in business-critical, long-lived application systems with high availability.
- Completed university degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical degree with excellent results.
- Deep understanding of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) as well as deployment and integration patterns around Uniface; confident handling of version control, build, and delivery processes; effective use of AI tools in software engineering, ideally including Claude Code (Agents, Skills, Workflows), AI Pipelines, and Context Engineering.
- Fluent German and fluent English, both written and spoken, enabling you to communicate confidently in international environments as well as with German-speaking clients and departments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, pragmatic and self-directed work, high proactivity, innovative spirit, and an entrepreneurial mindset that clearly aligns with our healthcare purpose and long-term product responsibility.
