The GBS Digital Solutions (DS) Enterprise Architecture team, part of Governance, Cybersecurity & Integration (GCI), sets the architecture direction for GBS. We enable, facilitate and govern, working with the business lines and delivery teams rather than apart from them. Our goal: decide faster, and apply the right technology to each use case.

We are looking for an Architect focused on technology enablement. You will help assess new demands, prepare technology and make/buy/reuse decisions, and connect the architecture team with delivery, working alongside senior architects and growing into broader enterprise architecture responsibilities.

Who are we looking for?

A hands-on architect or senior engineer with solid delivery experience who wants to grow into enterprise architecture. You know how solutions are built and run, and you are curious about why one technology fits a use case better than another.

You structure problems well, ask the right questions, and are comfortable presenting options and trade-offs to business and technical stakeholders. You want to grow a strategic view while staying close to real implementation.

What role will you play?

  1. Demand intake process: Run day-to-day demand intake: register and screen new demands, apply the triage criteria, route them to the right team, and track their status.
  1. Assessments: Carry out technology and make/buy/reuse assessments for well-scoped use cases, and support senior architects with research and analysis on complex ones.
  1. Reuse check: Validate what already exists in GBS (platforms, applications, components) before new solutions are proposed.
  1. Standards compliance: Review new solutions against enterprise standards and the target architecture, and prepare the input for architecture reviews.
  1. Delivery contact: Be the architecture contact for a set of delivery teams: answer architecture questions, give guidance on standard topics, and escalate what needs a decision.
  1. Architecture assets: Own architecture artefacts: decision log, reference architectures, application landscape data in LeanIX and the technology radar.
  1. Stakeholder sessions: Prepare and run workshops with business and technical stakeholders to align on requirements and decisions.
  1. Technology scouting: Follow emerging technologies (e.g. GenAI and agentic AI, cloud, data, low-code, automation) and share relevant findings with the team.
  1. Community: Contribute to the GBS Architecture Community and its working groups.

Requisitos mínimos

What do you bring?

  1. University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  1. 4+ years in IT, with hands-on experience in solution design, software engineering, data or cloud delivery.
  1. Experience in an architecture role (solution, domain or technical architecture), or clear steps in that direction.
  1. Good technology breadth across cloud (e.g. AWS, Azure), data platforms (e.g. Snowflake), integration, low-code (e.g. Mendix, Power Platform), ServiceNow, automation or AI, with depth in at least one area.
  1. Experience comparing technology options or supporting tool and vendor selections.
  1. Basic knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts and frameworks (e.g. TOGAF). Experience with LeanIX is a plus.
  1. Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn complex topics into clear, structured recommendations.
  1. Good communication skills and confidence working with business and technical stakeholders.
  1. Experience with agile ways of working.
  1. Excellent English, written and spoken. Other languages are a plus.
