Description
Concept Solutions, LLC (CS) is seeking a Scrum Master supporting a mission-critical application modernization and sustainment program for a Department of War (DoW) customer.
In this role, you will facilitate Agile Scrum practices across multiple software development teams, coordinate sprint activities, support effective backlog and issue management, and help teams maintain a consistent delivery cadence. Working closely with the Program Manager and technical teams, you will promote collaboration, transparency, and accountability while supporting milestone-based delivery and customer acceptance requirements.
Scrum Master & Agile Facilitation
- Serve as Scrum Master for Agile software teams, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support the execution of two-week sprints, ensuring teams maintain a consistent cadence of customer demonstrations.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams to identify delivery challenges, address impediments, and maintain sprint progress.
- Promote Agile best practices and continuous improvement through effective Scrum ceremonies and team engagement.
Delivery Coordination & Tracking
- Maintain the integrated delivery schedule, milestone status, and delivery metrics to support program objectives.
- Support effective backlog and issue tracking, ensuring Jira and Confluence accurately reflect sprint activities, priorities, and delivery progress.
- Coordinate with technical teams and the Program Manager to track deliverables and support milestone-based customer acceptance.
Program Reporting & Communication
- Coordinate milestone updates and program status reporting with the Program Manager.
- Provide clear visibility into sprint progress, delivery risks, issues, and upcoming milestones.
- Facilitate communication among Agile teams and program stakeholders to support timely decisions and successful delivery.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience serving as a Scrum Master or Delivery Lead on Agile software development teams.
- Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies, coordinating sprint activities, and supporting Agile software delivery.
- Experience supporting Federal government programs with milestone-based acceptance requirements.
- Expert-level proficiency with Jira and Confluence for Agile tracking, backlog management, and documentation.
- Strong facilitation, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical teams and program stakeholders.
- Active Secret security clearance.
Security Requirement: U.S. citizenship required. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoW security clearance. An active Secret clearance or higher is strongly preferred and may allow an earlier start.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Work Location and Schedule
Location: Remote
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with core hours of 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Eastern. The program follows two-week sprints, including a customer demonstration each sprint.
Travel: 0–10%, within the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Compensation: $100,000–$130,000 base salary, depending on experience.
