Join our Insurance-Linked Securities department at our Hannover / Germany location on a permanent basis, starting as soon as possible
as a Software Developer / Automation Engineer Underwriting.
Do you want to develop technical solutions, automate processes, and learn about a unique business model at the same time? Then become part of our Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS) team. In the ILS department, we bridge the insurance and capital markets worlds: we assume insurance risks and transfer them to institutional investors. While you get to know this exciting world, your focus will be on the digitalization, automation, and further development of our underwriting processes and tools.
WHAT YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO
- Analyze existing underwriting processes and identify potential for automation, digitalization, and sustainable efficiency improvement
- Develop end-to-end technical solutions – from analyzing business requirements to conception, implementation, and productive use
- Design workflows for the continuous further development of our ILS business
- Introduce new technologies and AI-supported approaches for the digitalization of our processes
- Gradually build your expertise in the fronting and underwriting business
- Analyze reinsurance contracts, track premium payments, and monitor claims development
WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU
- A completed Master's degree in Computer Science (or Business Informatics) or a comparable qualification with a focus on IT, data, or process optimization.
- Several years of experience in process automation, digitalization, software development, or technical transformation projects
- Initial exposure to underwriting, insurance, or financial processes is a plus, but not a prerequisite
- Ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into sustainable technical solutions
- The ability to structure business requirements clearly and actively shape the collaboration between business and IT
- Fluent English skills and German at a conversational level at a minimum, as well as clear and appreciative communication
- You are open to feedback, contribute your own ideas, and enjoy developing yourself in a dynamic environment
You may not meet all the listed requirements, but you impress with your expertise. If you also share our values of Responsibility, We-spirit, and Drive, we look forward to receiving your application!
