We are looking for a Mid-Level Full Stack Software Engineer to join a team responsible for the development and evolution of digital applications for the insurance sector.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
You will work on both the frontend and the backend, developing applications for clients with React and TypeScript, as well as backend-for-frontend services using Kotlin.
The team focuses on creating simple, reusable, and scalable solutions that support digital insurance journeys, from application to onboarding.
This position is ideal for engineering professionals who enjoy working across the entire stack, collaborating closely with Product and Design teams, and taking ownership of features from development through to production.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using React and TypeScript
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Kotlin
- Develop and evolve backend-for-frontend (BFF) services that support client-facing applications
- Create reusable frontend components and shared functionalities
- Integrate applications with internal platforms and third-party APIs
- Translate Product and UX requirements into reliable technical solutions
- Write automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards
- Investigate and resolve production issues, as well as improve application reliability and performance
- Work closely with product managers, UX designers, engineers, architects, and business stakeholders
- Contribute to technical discussions and solution design
- Support CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, monitoring, and production operations
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Experience in full stack web application development
- Experience with React
- Solid knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript
- Knowledge of Kotlin, Java, or another JVM-based language
- Knowledge of developing and consuming APIs REST
- Good knowledge of frontend component architecture and state management
- Good knowledge of backend application design and integration patterns
- Experience with automated testing
- Experience with Git and modern CI/CD practices
- Good debugging and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Autonomy to take ownership of development tasks with moderate guidance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Spring Boot
- Knowledge of backend-for-frontend (BFF) architectures
- Familiarity with AWS or another cloud platform
- Familiarity with corporate design systems
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization, such as OAuth 2.0 / OIDC
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures
- Experience in the insurance, financial services, or other regulated sectors
- Knowledge in developing digital sales, quoting, underwriting, or application journeys
