About the opportunity
The OpenText Consultant is responsible for the design, administration, support, and optimization of OpenText platforms and services.
Activities
- Provide technical expertise in the areas of Content Server, Archive Center, CAD Manager, Directory Services, Media Management, Website Management, xECM for Engineering, xECM for SAP, GCI Tools, DMC2 BlueBaker, workflows, and related solutions, to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient content management, document governance, integrations, and business process automation across the organization.
- Administer, maintain, and support OpenText platforms, ensuring system stability, security, performance, and availability.
- Configure and enhance OpenText document management solutions, workflows, and processes to meet business and compliance requirements.
- Develop and support integrations between OpenText platforms and enterprise systems, including SAP and engineering applications.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver platform enhancements that strengthen governance and user experience.
- Provide user support, technical documentation, and training, as well as support for upgrades and project initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience): Computer Science or related field (preferred).
- Candidates must possess more than 5 to 10 years of experience with enterprise content management (ECM) platforms, including OpenText, along with proven expertise in SharePoint Online/Microsoft 365 architecture and leading large-scale content migration initiatives (ideally from OpenText to SharePoint). They must demonstrate a solid understanding of information architecture, data migration approaches, and document/records lifecycle management, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions and interact confidently with stakeholders.
- Experience with migration tools (e.g., ShareGate, Metalogix, AvePoint), familiarity with compliance frameworks, and experience in large enterprise environments.
- Microsoft Certifications (SharePoint, M365) (Preferred)
- OpenText Certifications will be considered a plus.
