About the opportunity
We are looking for an SAP BP specialist to join our team on a master data cleansing and migration project for a major client in the services sector, currently in the cutover phase to S/4HANA.
You will be responsible, on the functional side, for migrating BPs from SAP ECC to the new S/4HANA environment, ensuring that customers and vendors arrive at their destination with their fiscal characteristics and partner functions preserved, and maintaining the ECC numbering (without DE-PARA, due to the history with legacy systems).
- Analyze and adjust BP master data control settings (creation, modification, and extension), including removing the current requirement to activate the Vendor function before the Customer function.
- Define the load strategy via SAP Integration Suite/CPI with ALE/IDoc, evaluating the use of the unified API CL_MD_BP_MAINTAIN=>MAINTAIN and, if necessary, technically justifying the alternative with BAPIs (BAPI_BUPA_CREATE_FROM_DATA, BAPI_BUPA_ROLE_ADD_2, BAPI_BUPA_CENTRAL_CHANGE, BAPI_BUPA_BANKDETAIL_ADD, and similar).
- Specify, together with the technical team, a Z table for migration control (BP, creation date, partner function, status, and sending/processing dates) and programs for selecting BPs from sales orders, purchase orders, and open and cleared items (BSID/BSAD, BSIK/BSAK).
- Handle the correction of BPs linked to logistics centers (T001W) in intercompany operations.
- Ensure control of API sending volumes to avoid overloading the production environment.
Requirements
- Solid experience with SAP BP and CVI in ECC and S/4HANA, including number ranges, groupings, and BP functions.
- Experience in customer and vendor master data migration or cleansing projects.
- Proficiency in Brazilian fiscal requirements for BP registration (CNPJ/CPF, IE, tax categories).
- Knowledge of integration via ALE/IDoc and SAP Integration Suite/CPI.
- Familiarity with BP APIs and BAPIs and the ability to write clear functional specifications for the ABAP team.
- Understanding of SD and MM sufficient to interpret partner functions in sales orders and purchase orders.
- Autonomy, good communication, and composure to handle urgent cutover demands.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP MDG.
- Projects for conversion to S/4HANA (Brownfield or Selective Data Transition).
- Experience with intercompany scenarios.
