About the role
We are looking for someone to work in a highly technical environment focused on financial and trading products. The position is hands-on, with strong involvement in engineering, architecture, and technical decision-making. We seek someone with experience building complex and scalable systems who can work closely with the engineering team and product areas.
Although the priority is for Individual Contributors, we are especially open to Lead Engineer profiles that combine strong technical capacity with exceptional knowledge of options trading, perpetual contracts (perps), and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Act hands-on in the development and evolution of backend systems.
- Participate in defining architecture, technical solutions, and engineering decisions.
- Technically lead initiatives and projects of high complexity.
- Work together with engineers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to defining standards, best practices, and code quality.
- Support the team in technical decisions and complex problem-solving.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, performant, and reliable.
- Participate in discussions related to trading systems, order processing, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Contribute to the continuous evolution of DLT's architecture and products.
- Work in an international environment, using English daily.
Requirements
- Solid experience as a Senior Engineer, Staff Engineer, Lead Engineer, Principal Engineer, or Tech Lead.
- Strong experience in backend development and software architecture.
- Experience with distributed systems, APIs, and high-availability systems.
- Ability to act hands-on, without the position being exclusively focused on people management.
- Experience in environments that demand performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Strong capacity for technical decision-making and problem-solving.
- Advanced/fluent English for communication with international teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with trading or financial markets.
- Deep knowledge of derivatives.
- Experience with Options Trading.
- Experience with Perpetual Contracts (Perps).
- Experience with Risk Management.
- Experience with Order Management, Matching Engines, Clearing, or Trading APIs.
- Experience in Crypto / Digital Assets.
- Experience with Go.
