About the opportunity
We are looking for an Application Support Engineer with strong experience in PL/SQL to join a project within the banking sector. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in production support, incident resolution, database troubleshooting, and application monitoring.
What you would do
- Provide L2/L3 application support in production environments.
- Investigate and resolve incidents, problems, and service requests.
- Analyze and troubleshoot application and database issues using PL/SQL and SQL.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize PL/SQL queries, procedures, functions, and scripts.
- Monitor application performance and ensure stability and availability.
- Support application deployments, releases, and production changes.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, database, and business teams.
- Automate recurring support and operational tasks.
- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
What you need to bring
- 3+ years of experience in Application/Production Support.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL and SQL.
- Good knowledge of Oracle databases.
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments and Shell scripting.
- Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.
- Experience with monitoring and ticketing tools.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes.
- English B2 or higher
- Experience with CI/CD and deployment tools is a plus.
- Experience in the banking/financial sector is a plus.
