And to achieve this vision, we need curious, persistent, and passionate minds for challenges. The Squad
Our Acquiring Squad is responsible for developing and maintaining all the infrastructure that enables card transaction processing at Stark Bank and Stark Infra — including authorization, capture, settlement, fraud prevention, and reconciliation. We work daily to ensure that millions of transactions pass through our systems securely, with low latency, and extremely high availability.
Our mission is to offer a modern, simple, and highly performant acquiring platform, allowing companies to operate card payments like true fintechs.
The Challenge
As an Acquiring Developer, you will be instrumental in building and evolving the systems that support our card stack. This includes dealing with critical protocols, complex integrations with card networks and sub-acquirers, as well as settlement and reconciliation flows that handle large financial volumes.
You will
- Plan, develop, and scale APIs and services for the entire acquiring transaction cycle (authorization, capture, cancellation, chargeback, settlement).
- Evolve integrations with card providers, networks, issuers, and gateways, ensuring compliance with protocols such as ISO 8583, authorization APIs, clearing & settlement, among others.
- Build asynchronous systems for automated financial reconciliation between acquirer–network–merchant.
- Implement and maintain rule engines for fraud prevention and risk management, ensuring response within critical latency.
- Develop data pipelines for generating statements, settlements, financial reports, and risk insights.
- Continuously optimize performance: reduce latency, increase throughput, and minimize cloud resources.
- Eliminate operational noise through automation, proactive monitoring, circuit breakers, alerts, and advanced observability.
- Participate in war rooms during critical incidents, acting in debugging and mitigation in production.
- Write clean, efficient, and sustainable code that other engineers love to maintain.

- Ability to quickly understand existing systems by reading clean and standardized code.
- DevOps mindset: cloud management, cost optimization, observability, and monitoring.
- Lean mentality: remove complexity, simplify, and deliver efficiently.
- Ability to translate payment business rules into robust and scalable solutions.
What will make you stand out
- Experience with GCP: Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks, Cloud Scheduler.
- Experience with acquiring protocols: ISO 8583, authorization messages, chargebacks, clearing, and reconciliation.
