WHAT IS THE MISSION OF THE ROLE?
Develop and evolve internal platforms, tools, and services that empower Sensedia's software engineering, creating scalable, reusable, and automated solutions with Java, Go, and Python, using Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, GitOps, and CI/CD to simplify product development and improve the experience of engineering teams.
WHAT WILL BE YOUR DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITIES?
- Develop and evolve internal tools, platforms, and services using Java, Go, and Python.
- Design and implement APIs, microservices, and reusable components to support engineering teams.
- Build solutions focused on Platform Engineering, with an emphasis on automation, productivity, and Developer Experience.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (Terraform) and automations for platform provisioning and operation.
- Work with Kubernetes, AWS, and GitOps, contributing to scalable, resilient, and secure environments.
- Participate in architectural decisions, definition of best practices, and evolution of the engineering platform.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify improvement opportunities and create solutions that simplify the software development and delivery cycle.
- Contribute to the evolution of CI/CD processes, observability, and engineering automation.
- Explore and apply AI tools to increase productivity in development and accelerate solution delivery.
WHAT ARE THE MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE?
- Solid experience in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, or infrastructure automation, with seniority to lead technical decisions.
- Strong experience in development using Go, Python, or Java, with a software engineer profile that develops platforms and tools for infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent), creating reusable and scalable components.
- Experience with containers and Kubernetes (preferably Amazon EKS) in distributed and multi-tenant environments.
- Proficiency in CI/CD, versioning with Git, and GitOps practices.
- Knowledge of identity and access control models (IAM, RBAC).
- Platform as Product mindset, developing solutions for internal engineering teams, prioritizing developer experience, adoption, and scalability.
- Autonomy to lead technical initiatives, from architecture definition to solution implementation and evolution.
WHAT WILL BE THE DIFFERENTIATING REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE?
- Experience with Internal Developer Portals, such as Backstage, Port, or similar solutions.
- Experience in developing APIs, integration platforms, or API Management.
- Experience with provisioning platforms, infrastructure automation, or AI agent-based automation (Agentic AI).
- Experience with AWS in large-scale environments, including cost optimization and scalability strategies (Karpenter, VPA, Cluster Autoscaler, among others).
- Knowledge of observability applied to the platform and developer experience.
- Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end).
- Experience using AI tools for development and software quality, such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, ChatGPT, or similar.
