Your challenge on the team
You will lead the strategy and evolution of RD Station's Cloud Foundation, ensuring a standardized, secure, scalable, and economically sustainable infrastructure base for the Engineering teams. The challenge will be to transform cloud resources into services, standards, and reusable components for the organization, considering environments in GCP, AWS, and OCI.
Your main deliverables
- Lead the Cloud strategy, defining vision, target architecture, priorities, and roadmap for GCP, AWS, and OCI.
- Manage and develop the Engineering team responsible for cloud infrastructure, promoting autonomy, clarity of ownership, and execution excellence.
- Evolve the cloud foundation, establishing standards for organizations, accounts, projects, networks, DNS, identity, access, quotas, policies, shared services, and environment segregation.
- Expand automation and the use of Infrastructure as Code, providing standardized components and self-service capabilities for Engineering teams.
- Increase the resilience and technical and economic efficiency of the shared infrastructure, in partnership with Engineering, Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Cloud FinOps.
Minimum requirements
Profile we are looking for
- Experience leading Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering teams, or equivalent areas in large-scale environments.
- Relevant experience with GCP, including architecture, governance, operation, and evolution of production environments.
- Experience with AWS and designing multi-cloud or hybrid architectures, considering the distribution of workloads and services across providers.
- Experience with Kubernetes in production, preferably GKE and EKS, and with container platforms used by multiple products.
- Solid knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and infrastructure automation, especially Terraform, including modules, reusable patterns, and large-scale provisioning workflows.
It will be considered a differential
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), especially in scenarios of adoption, migration, or multi-cloud operation.
- Previous experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering, with direct involvement in internal development platforms.
- Relevant certifications in GCP, AWS, OCI, Kubernetes, Terraform, or FinOps.
- Knowledge of Crossplane, GitOps, or other declarative approaches for exposing infrastructure capabilities through an internal platform.
- Experience with cloud economic efficiency, including rightsizing, usage commitments, billing models, egress, storage, and capacity management.
