Required Qualifications
Education: Systems Analysis.
We are looking for a Specialist Information Technology Architect with a focus on SAP Analytics to lead the evolution of the analytical architecture with a focus on Data Products, SAP Datasphere and SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), integrated into the Vale's Lakehouse ecosystem.
The role is to structure a modern analytical foundation that:
- Integrates SAP and non-SAP data in a governed manner;
- Enables advanced analytics and AI on semantic business data;
- Reduces dependency on replications and complex pipelines.
With the adoption of BDC, the goal is to evolve to a zero-copy data architecture model, where SAP data can be consumed directly in the Lakehouse (Databricks) with preserved governance and business context, eliminating silos and accelerating value for analytics and AI.
Responsibilities and job activities
Define analytical architecture based on:
- SAP Datasphere (SAP semantic layer)
- SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC)
Structure and evolve the SAP Data Products model and corporate ones, focusing on:
- Governance
- Reuse
- Business domain
- Consumption by multiple channels
Lead the adoption of BDC as a strategic SAP data layer, including:
- Use of native SAP data products
- Integration with external platforms
- Define architecture based on zero-copy, avoiding unnecessary replications
- Data remains governed in SAP
- Direct consumption in Databricks for analytics and AI
- Integrate and correctly position the roles of each platform in the ecosystem
- Define data ingestion and consumption standards.
