ABOUT THE ROLE AND MISSION
Work within the Customer Intelligence team to develop and evolve microservices in Java, ensuring quality, performance, and integration with other systems.
IN YOUR DAY-TO-DAY, YOU WILL
- Develop and maintain APIs and microservices in Java (Spring Boot, Micronaut, or similar).
- Model RESTful APIs following an API First approach (Swagger/OpenAPI).
- Participate in code reviews and follow the team's coding and architecture standards.
- Write automated tests (unit and integration).
- Integrate services with relational and non-relational databases, queues, and internal/external APIs.
- Implement secure solutions using authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth2, Basic Auth).
- Document relevant application decisions and behaviors.
- Support less experienced team members and propose process and technical improvements.
- Participate in architectural decisions, contributing with best practices for design and scalability.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree.
- Java 8+ and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate/JPA).
- Experience with microservices architecture, messaging (Kafka, SQS, SNS), caching, and observability.
- Kubernetes (EKS) and database modeling/optimization (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Best practices for deployment/CI.
- 5+ years in backend development, with technical leadership or mentoring experience.
- Availability to work on-site in: Belo Horizonte (MG), São Paulo, Curitiba, or Recife.
PREFERRED
- Experience with Micronaut or other frameworks beyond Spring.
- Experience with AWS: EC2, EKS, S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda, CloudFront, ELB, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of security for web applications and microservices (authentication/authorization).
- Practice with Gitflow, CI/CD (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Use of AI tools for development (Copilot, Cursor, etc.) with awareness of best practices.
- Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps practices.
